Shandiz

So, my awesome Mom and Dad took us to eat Persian food on Saturday for my birthday! If you have never tried Persian food, you are seriously crazy in the head! The food is awesome - we found this buffet a few years ago and love the variety they have. Below are a few pictures from our lunch.

Love these people!!!

My Mom and Amy (my sister) - they are hilarious together!

Me and my handsome husband - notice the trend - no one can stop eating to take a picture. :)

Dad and Me! <3

29 Candles

Today I turn 29. It's a pretty insignificant number actually. Way past 21, but not yet quite 30. I'm not sure what birthday it is, but there's some point at which we no longer anticipate the feeling of adding another year to our age.

The past year has been wonderful. I feel like so much has happened. We bought our first dog, I started my job at the Firm and we bought a house! Not a laundry list, but some pretty major stuff in the day-to-day.

My husband continues to amaze me. It has been such a blessing to watch him transform into the wonderful man he is today. He was a great guy when we started dating 11 years ago, but that version of him has nothing on who he is today. I thank God everyday for so many wonderful people in my life.

So looking forward to having Persian food with my Mom and Dad this weekend for my birthday. (Any excuse for us to go get knee deep in a Persian buffet!) I'll post some pics later - -

I'm not weirded out by the birthday stuff, nor am I afraid of turning 30 next year. More than anything I am just overwhelmed with the many ways God has chosen to bless me and I hope I can pass that blessing on to others.

Peace

Just more pictures of Chloe being pitiful.

Poor girl, she can't understand why I won't let her play.

Oopsy!

Our little Chloe broke her leg. She broke the bottom of her femur and had to have surgery. Above is a picture of the leg the day I picked her up from the vet. 2 weeks of being back in the crate while we are gone restricted by an E-collar so she can't get to the stitches, 2 more weeks of restricted activity - and then she can slowly be herself again. For those who know our Chloe, the hardest part is the restricted activity. She's such a hyper girl and just loves to jump! My poor girl - hopefully she will heal fast with no hiccups!

Chloe's Graduation

So our little Chloe finally graduated from her training class. She is a sweet girl and a real trooper. Unfortunately her graduation class was the same weekend we were moving into the new house. Her eyes look super heavy because she's so tired. But she did great and we are proud anyway.
