Rain, Shine, or......Snow?

'The D' is hardcore. Anyone who knows him knows this. He enjoys working out. It's his obsession er..um..I mean hobby!

Anyway, with this beautiful white blanket of snow on the ground and even more coming down did he choose to read a good book? No. Get a mug of hot chocolate? No. Snuggle? No. He WORKED OUT!

Couldn't make it to the gym so our living room turned into the gym for the day. He got one heck of a workout. Babe...please rest! LOL

Frosty!

Man oh man. They said it was going to snow, but I had no idea. It is beautiful, but thank goodness my whole family is indoors with food and warmth.

No. We don't leave the house during this weather. 'The D' doesn't mind because he can layer more clothing - - and thus, more fashion. But me....nope...there's a reason our annual vacation is to a beach.

I don't do cold.

But it sure is pretty.

4 Men!

So, because of all the studying and quizzing I'm actually getting a lot more quality time with the Mom than I usually do - which is great.

We were talking about God the other night and how people struggle with things in their lives and sometimes feel tested or beaten before they've even tried. She said something I will never forget.

She said, remember the fiery furnace? King Nebuchadnezzar looked in after three men were thrown in (Shadrack, Meshach, and Abednego) and saw 4. God was in there with them and he protected them the whole time, but don't you see that the King never would have seen God if it wasn't for them being thrown into the fiery furnace.

Wow!!!!!!

So, what's your fiery furnace? Where are people going to see God in your struggles?

Isaiah14:4

So the other morning I woke up and got my cereal and got back in bed to eat it - what? I wanna stay in the bed as looong as possible! Anyway, as I'm sitting there all the sudden I hear Isaiah 14:4.

Who said that? Well, nobody said it out loud, but I couldn't get it out of my head. I was running a bit late and really needed to get up, but -- what the heck. So I went for the Bible.

'you will take up this taunt against the king of Babylon. How the oppressor has come to an end! How his fury has ended!'

Don't you hate it when you eat your words? I do - for sure! But I did just that today. I always give my sister a hard time because when she's sick, even a cold, she calls our mom. I always say, "Don't call her. Your grown. Just deal with it." But feeling cruddy these past few days and being so stressed at the same time, I wanted to do the same thing!

I think it might just be us. My Mom can make everything better. Instantly when you are around her you feel better. So when your sick...it's a necessity! I went to Mom & Dad's today.

Mom worked her majic and because of her I felt good enough to eat dinner with my husband for the first time in 4 days, and I feel like I'm going to get a full nights sleep - also something I haven't done in 4 nights!

I don't know if your mom can work magic like mine, but if she can you are truly blessed. I hope one day I'll get the chance to be half the Mom she's been to me. Maybe then she'll teach me some of her magic tricks!

Hit a Wall

I've hit it - a wall.

After a hellish day of 200 MBE questions (on which I didn't do as well as I had hoped) I came home to study only to realize I was getting sick (UTI). 2 days later I am still working from home dealing with the stomach/headache from the meds.

I can't help but think that this is a test of determination and perseverence. This is it! The last link in my chain out of school FOREVER!!!
